Now Available, Severtson Screens SēVision 3D GX “MicroPerf” Curved Screens Offer the Ultimate 3D Home Theater Experience

The SēVision 3D GX is Perfect for Both Fixed and Electric/Motorized Applications in Home Theaters, Movie Theaters, Schools, Offices, Museums, Resorts, etc.

Mesa, Ariz., Sept. 17, 2012 – Severtson Screens (www.severtsonscreens.com), a global leader in innovative and quality projection screens for the home theater, commercial, and pro AV markets, is pleased to announce that the new curved SēVision 3D GX “MicroPerf” screens are now available.

“The SēVision 3D GX offers the ultimate 3D home theater experience,” said L. Craig Shelley, Severtson Screens CEO. “It is the only screen in the home theatre industry to offer PristiVue© technology, a revolutionary 3D coating on micro-perforated screen material. No other company has been able to apply a hi-performance silver coating for the passive 3D viewing experience.”

Proudly Made in the USA, the result both maximizes the effect of 3D cinema while at the same time offering an acoustically transparent audio experience, as well, by allowing home theatre speaker placement directly behind the screen with no noticeable reduction in audio quality.

PristiVue technology is the cornerstone of Severtson projection screen surfaces. PristiVue allows the viewer to see what the director originally intended for them to see in the theatre. The sharpness, clarity, and warmth of the digital image projected onto the screen and reflected to the viewers’ eyes are dictated by the quality of the screen. PristiVue technology combines accurate color, a smooth and flawless texture, and adheres to Severtson Screens’ strict manufacturing guidelines.

The SēVision 3D GX is also referred to as a “Green Screen”, since its water-based optical coating is lacquer-free. As a result, the screen will not yellow or sag over time as do other lacquer-based coated screens. The SēVision 3D GX’s coating is the only water-based silver optical coating in the industry and helps protect and prolong the life of the screen material, as well as the gain.

“The SēVision 3D GX’s signal-to-noise ratio is an industry shattering 250:1, and the gain is 2.4,” added Shelley. “These features make ‘ghosting’ near obsolete, and thus allow it to work beautifully in ambient lighting. The SēVision 3D GX is the first home theater screen to be certified by all the major 3D licensors for digital projection, and can also be used for viewing 2D projection. It utilizes the same technology that helped earn an Oscar for IMAX in 1996, assuring that through viewing movies on this screen, everyone can experience the pristine visual presentations 3D digital projection has to offer.”

The SēVision 3D GX can be used for residential, commercial, and pro-AV applications, such as home theaters, movie theaters, schools, offices, museums, resorts, etc. It is also perfect for both fixed and electric/motorized applications, and can be rolled into a spindle in motorized applications. Since Severtson also caters to the movie theater industry, there are virtually no limitations or restrictions on the screen’s size and placement.

Custom and standard sizes are available. Severtson asks that customers contact them directly for individual pricing for their specific needs. “Our customers are ‘happily surprised’ at the cost for such a high-end quality 3D screen that’s manufactured right here at our company headquarters in Arizona,” Shelley concluded.
